Memorial Day 2013
Memorial Day 2013. We remember this day the sacrifices made for freedom in the United States and around the world. If you've served, post your branch and dates. Comments by all are welcomed. I'll begin: Lynn Blake, USAF, Tactical Air Command, 1966-1970.

Having run out of student deferments in 1966, received draft board notice to report for Army induction physical.

Failed, missing out on an all expenses paid, round trip ticket to Vietnam.

I got to play with Dr. Dave at Cuscowilla during the LBG Homecoming in 2008. I don't think he missed a fairway all round and he was long. He was a very good player, but more importantly he was an even better person. Rest in Peace Doc.

Once met, never forgotten.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dr.Dave at the Cuscowilla LBG Homecoming Classic also.
A very nice man with a fund of humourous stories and an infectious way of telling them.
He left us too early but with fond memories.
