Rory's Hip motion
Lots of different comments in the golf field regarding Rory's "reverse" hip motion after impact - like the motion that shows up after the 18 second mark of the youtube link below:

Although it is more pronounced in his swing (driver) than most other players - they all have the same thing going on - it's an Impact Force Wave - that flows through the body. Only now becoming visible due to the higher camera speeds used today.

Different degrees of visibility based on the player, club being used, etc.

high speed camera have been around for a long time, more video then film today but they were fast 40 years ago. Nothing has screwed up golf swings more than cameras and film, it is position golf, even in motion.

Very true - however as you know - it's not the camera and video that was the true "problem" but the interpretation of that data that created the problem. We need the "better" data however most importantly we need better interpretation and understanding of that data.

yes, but we discovered planets without seeing them, the laws of the circle and action of physics don't change in slo mo. "Seems reasonable!" is camera work.

I still believe that he has a hip stall that CAN cause him to flip and thereby have streaks of inconsistent play. Clearly he has that under control at the moment!

To me it looks like the consequence of straightening both legs at impact.
