He has earned it. He is one of the best players in the world.

He seems to be highly underrated as a ball striker. He hits the ball a mile, works it like no one else and ranks among the best on the GIR statistics.

His mechanics are IMO underrated as well. His swing looks different but he has certain fundamentals in place in a superior way. Plenty of lag pressure going on at the moment of truth and he seems to hold his load longer than most. He also has a wide finish, where the hands stay out in front, still in sync with his pivot. It is very different from the typical hands flying by and club coiling around the neck. And I think it is better too.

It's very refreshing to see someone playing like that win a major !

I was expecting him to start spraying balls around as he got tense since he seems to rely a lot on hands timing to produce these amazing curves with the ball... but not that much and only in the last hole (he played the two 18 holes brilliantly from tee to green).

Bubba uses a vertical hinge on his iron shots, even 200+ yd approaches.

A well deserved win.

He earned it - 4 birdies in a row on the back nine on Sunday at Augusta - 6 birdies on the day.

Not a bad bounce back after his second bogey of the day on 12!

And the shot on 10 in the playoff - not a lot of guys could pull that off, especially under the pressure.

Congratulations to Bubba!!!

I wonder what next years Champions dinner will be?

Is it me or is he disconnected with a chicken wing on occasion? I think a platter of wings can be a beautiful thing so I'm not being critical.

Seems like I also recall seeing that sometimes, probably on his 40 yd "fades".

Hey, at least Bubba knows which way the ball is going,

Hogan, Nicklaus, Trevino, and Vardon had the same 'problem'!
