reverse overlap grip for full swing?
I'm a long-time lurker, first time posting. These forums have been instrumental in my understanding of the golf swing - thank you!

I have a question; last week I broke my 5th metacarpal (bone in hand just under pinkie knouckle). It's not severe, so I've been able to practice putting and chipping using reverse overlap grip. any attempt at interlock (my normal grip) or vardon result in pain gripping the club.

I've taken some "air swings" with the rol grip and it feels pretty good and pain-free.

So my question: Are there any benefits or disadvantages to using reverse overlap in the full swing?

Steve Jones did just that after a motorcycle accident as I recall.
