Our Only Difference is the Mustache
Anyone see the Playing Lessons episode with Gary McCord? In it, he shows a shot where he chips it off a sprinkler head and almost holes it. Last night, I pulled that shot off at my home course I played a little four-hole loop with just my 9iron, and on the third hole, I saved par on the 400yard par4 when I played the sprinkler head shot on a little 25foot downhill left-to-right slider. Ended up shooting 3over total, and made a little money on a side-bet for calling that shot It's amazing what Educated Hands can accomplish (albeit at a grade school level )

I didn't share with you how powerfully Lynn strikes his shots. I think the difference between my 7 iron (new and improved) of almost a full carry of 160 yards from 145 and Lynn's hitting my 7 iron, was 25 yards or so of carry. I know Lynn hit my 7 iron more than 180 yards and it didn't look tired when it got there!

He is amazing!

Lynn flat out mashes the golf ball. Watching Lynn hit balls is almost as fun as a lesson with him. His short game skills are quite good as well.

I remember one of the first times I was in Atlanta with my brother, Lynn gaves us an impromptu chipping/pitching lesson. When he was demonstrating, he asked me to walk to the other side of the short game area - 20 yards or so - and stand there while he hits a shot at my foot to show my brother the technique. I had to move my foot on Lynn's first attempt - it was a perfect shot.

That's the kind of compression I'm looking for (and I think everyone looks for) on a daily basis, not just three or four shots a round. My short game is pretty solid (it's the only thing keeping my handicap at a seven) but my consistency leaves me the further I am from the hole. There's a driveable par4 at my course (276 yards) that I can either carry or hit fifty yards short on at any given moment I can hit those solid shots every once in a while (yesterday it was a 215yard 4iron and 175yard 7iron) but I'm left chasing that feeling for the rest of the day. I hit a flagstick from sixty yards and made par, but sh--ked a six iron two holes later. That's the type of game I've been dealing with lately

NC, I have never heard so many powerful "thunks" filled with compression from my driver as I now hear. Head stationary = balance! Right/left or Foward press with left heel/Right /Left creates whip and LAG. The proper grip allows the Flail to destroy the ball while you watch! Don't forget the separation between the left forearm above the right forearm, or the Turned Shoulder Plane.

If I can see the club head "blur" collect the ball, I know the shot is in the middle of the fairway or green. if I lost sight of the ball and blur, I lost my balance.
