Taly with short game practice
I have been taking lessons from Mr Blake since December and he gave me a Taly to practice with. I have not used it very much. I just started using it some. At set up to hit a basic chip my understanding is that you want to make your shaft parallel to the Taly and maintain that relationship throughout the stroke. My question is are the hands really that far forward at setup. It just feels like the hands are too far forward. My last question is on a ball played at low point when you get your hands parallel to the Taly then the hands are really forward on a low point shot. The results have been pretty good but just wanted to make sure I am doing this right before I put too much time into it.

I cannot believe you are second guessing Yoda. Next time you see him give him a hug from the guys in Minnesota.
The TALY works. What you see in the relationships of the TALY and your hands and shaft works. Ingrain it. Use it for chipping, putting and pitches for sure. Those alignments should carry over to the full swing.
Read everything you can on this web site. Purchase the Alignment Golf videos, practice with the TALY and LISTEN very INTENTLY to Mr. Blake. He knows. You will soon be playing excellent G.O.L.F.

Jerry G Thanks for the reply. I am in no way shape fashion or form questioning Mr Blake I believe in every word he teaches. We have never really used the Taly together and when I started practicing with it I was really surprised at the forward alignment of the hands. So much so that I was concerned that I was doing the procedure wrong. I was just wondering if I was doing it correctly. Mr Blake is a fantastic teacher and I plan on spend alot more time with him in the future but he cant be with me each time I practice or have a question and that is what makes this sight great.

Sorry Crab. I just couldn't believe my eyes.
Go to the TALY.com web site and you will see several helpful videos. Go to the Barclay's video on the LBG web site where Yoda is working with some folks with the TALY and that will be of help. There is another good TALY lesson at <iseekgolf.com> out of Australia.
Even a note to Taly Williams at TALY.com will bring a quick helpful reply.
Also, get creative on your own. You might find some way to use the TALY the rest of us would find some benefit.
Good luck and stay with it.

I use my Taly to hustle bets!
I strap it on my right arm as I exaggerate my limp to the first tee. I fumble with it then take it off. Hit a weak push drive to the tree-line. The guys cannot stop themselves from tweaking the bet.
