how much forward lean at address
Have been struggling lately with pitches and chips. Hitting alot of fat shots. It looks as if i have alot of forward lean in the shaft and feels like I dig club in the ground with leading edge. I am wondering if I reduced the amount of lean would I expose more of the bounce and quit hitting so many shots fat or atleast get away with a few more bad shots due to the effects of the bounce. Please Help

Sam Snead advised putting the Hands at Address "in the holster".

Just inside the left thigh.

Then, Ball Location and the Flat Left Wrist at Impact determines the correct amount of Clubshaft "Forward Lean".

Good advice then.

Good advice now.

All this supposes you have correctly located your Pivot Center.

The Stationary, Swiveling Head, for example. Or, if you prefer, the 'Point Between the Shoulders'.

Either way, the Swiveling Head or the 'Point' centers BETWEEN THE FEET.

This discipline encourages and promotes Centered Arc and Balance, i.e., keeping the 'Center of
Gravity 'between the feet'.

Are you there?

My guess is . . .

No.

Mr. Crab,

I hope you are still here. You've just gotten the best advise you could have from YODA. Believe it, Learn it, Live it.

Yoda thanks for the reply. Everything you say makes sense. I am simply doing something to disrupt the center of the stroke. The more rigid I make the process the shots get even worse. My motion feels like an all arms motion and I can't seem to tie in a slight pivot.I run out right arm to early I think
