The Tomasello Tapes -- Chapter Eight / The Short Game
In Chapter Eight of our Series, Tom Tomasello demonstrates the short Pitch Shot and the Sand Shot. The video ends somewhat abruptly, as did our original.
This gives me a nice reminder of something I need to work on with my bunker shots---keep my hips moving and don't quit shortly after the ball leaves, but take the hands up to a completed finish position(don't stop at 8-11, go to 8-12!).
He doesn't mention it in the clip we see, but he seems to have a more V-shaped swing in the bunker than he did with his pitch shot over it. I remember Yoda mentioning this to me as I struggled with the soft sand in the practice bunker at the Swamp. I had read a lot about TT on some other forums in the past year or so--nice to see and hear these clips.
Dr. Dave
thanks for the tapes they have helped me more than anything else.
I have the book and hate to admit it is very hard to understand, because
of having so many references to other sections. The tapes have made it
so much easier to grasp. My personal game has improved so much all
around 25 to 30 yards off the tee irons are much crisper and scores have
lowered by 8 to 10 shots per round. I will get to see Yoda soon!
Thank you, I have had the book for 3 monthes but untill this forum I was
fogged in. This is the best golf forum I have seen, so many people willing
to help and share thier knowledge. I very seldom post but wanted to
let everyone know how much I appreciate this forum.
Thanks for making the Tomasello tapes available.

I have seen all videos now and I must say its the single most interesting & jawdropping free contribution to "Golf instruction on the the Internet" that I have ever come across*). Toms tapes are increadibly interesting and he seems to be such an increadlibly nice figure. That laugh of his is just golden. And he knows about things.
Keep em coming & Thank you all for making this happen

*) I have been on the Internet since 1983. In 1989 (more or less) I bought my first book on amazon.com. That was some five years before the WWW came out and amazon.com was based on VT100, for those of you who who can relate to that.
