diagram on cover of 6th edition?
hi fellas,

looking over the cover, there is one diagram on there through the THE GOLFING MACHINE that represents a triangle with the law of the 3-4-5. On the same triangle, there is a drawing, on the inclined side, that i cant quite make out. This seems the only diagram not in my edition, was it in another and what was it used for to explain?

call me sherlock...lol

Very Interesting..........
Are you a detective by trade? LOL

I for one see the diagram on the cover, but never "noticed" it till you posted.
Be prepared for multiple explanations unless Yoda answers quickly.

The Bucket's interpretation could include shortest distance to the moon pies.

That used to be in the book . . . but Homer took it out after the 3rd edition . . .

I'll try to put the text up for you sometime . . .

The diagram illustrated a non-golf example of a resultant force vector. The "drawing on the inclined side" is a little boat traveling at 5 mph. With a current running due South at 4 mph, the boat has to set its compass NE at 38* (the hypotenuse) in order to travel due East (the resultant force) and cross a river 3 miles wide.

No, powerdraw, but thanks for the vote of confidence. My secret is that I have all seven editions and can read!
