Does any LBG TGM qualified Instructor wish to help a struggling TGM student understand some exactly defined components of the golf swing as Homer Kelley would agree to.
I cannot understand exactly what would be a properly aligned pivot motion?
and what does "hula hula hips" really mean by means of a precise geometry?
May be because of my engineering background so I am interested in Homer Kelley's works.
I am wanting the most precise information and I am quite sure to get the answers here.
If anyone has good answers, please share them with me and others who might be in a similar confusion.

Hula Hula is the means by which a player is to "clear the right hip" by sliding the hips paralle to the selected Delivery Line. By the hips moving laterally the Right Shoulder is allow to move DOWNPLANE and not go OUT and Roundhouse. The Hula Hula creates the Axis Tilt necessary for the three dimensional impact.
According to the Mr. K's concept of the Parallel Pivot all motion including the Pivot and Hip Slide is to be PARALLEL to the selected Delivery Line. So if the player is adhering to the 10-5-A True Geometric Plane Line the Hip Slide (hula hula) is On-Line. But if the player is using the 10-5-E Angle of Approach Delivery then the Hip Slide/Pivot is CROSS-LINE out to right field.
That is the geometry. That is the beauty of Mr. K's 2-J-3 Plane Line Equivalents . . . all motion adheres to the delivery line.

Nice explanation bucket...I was expecting to see girls in Hula dresses though...
Would you say this procedure is "lower back friendly" or is there something else done incorrectly that would put unneeded stress on the lower back.
I guess this is very different than Percy Boomer's turning in a bucket pivot..or was that a barrel?

This laterally moving is a big strain on my lower back and hip area.
Is there any other way to make the

A BACK FRIENDLY technique is something that many of us would probably be interested in!!!
Any golf technique is going to put some stress on the back... because golf is a unilateral activity, and because golf involves twisting, while being bent over.
Now... the "little bump," as I understand it, does not have to be a huge, exaggerated thing. You only need enough slide to allow the right shoulder, and right arm to do what they need to do.
Question for the TGMers. About how many inches should the left hip move laterally, for a standard straight shot?
What usually happens if the hip slides too much? What usually happens if the hip does not slide enough?

Doe anyone have a nice PIVOT DRILL to share?
The single biggest difference for me has been really understanding "hands control pivot". It has reduced the strain on my back very much and the added stability to my motion has made me much more consistent.
As a kid, I was very influenced by Golf My Way and 5 Lessons and those both had me driving/spinnning my legs and hips, and in fact really driving my entire motion, from my legs much more than I thought.
Learning to swing my arms, and to really 'feel' my hands with the pivot in a more supportive role, vs a driving role - something that folks like Flick get a lot of flack for, has helped. The key is to understand this doesn't mean throw away, simply a hands control, the body reacting to the arms and hands.
As far as drills, start down waggles with a mirror in slow motion are how I work most on pivot and/or arms crossed across chest and imagining "breaking down a door with the back of my left shoulder" - really helps the transition as long as you don't overdo it and get pivot control.
