What A Difference A Year Makes
It was Saturday, March 19, 2005 that I spent a day with Yoda. Incredible amount of knowledge came my way. Spent that evening making notes in my book and filled several pages of a legal pad trying to remember everything we went over. With so many changes coming my way I knew there would be some struggles as I sorted through these new concepts. However, I knew I was on the right path. On Friday, September 30, 2005 I visited the Swamp again, this time for 90 minutes with YodasLuke (aka Ted). Corrected a few bad habits I had slipped into and presented a few new ways to look at things ("feel like you are taking PP#1 and pushing it as far away from your right ear as you can "). REALLY got me to focus on extensor action. Started 2005 at 9.8 index and finished 2005 at 8.0. Today was a beautiful day here in Pittsburgh and almost makes me think spring may actually arrive. Ran out of the office and hit the course at 5:20----walked a quick 9 holes-----my first time out for 2006---and shot even par!!! OK, so it was from the middle tees instead of the back tees that I usually play, but I'm pretty pumped. I have NEVER EVER felt my swing be this good this early in the year. Those freakin' dowels and that little yellow impact bag must really work. And those 2 guys in Marietta know their stuff. Thanks boys!! I have a good feeling about this year. Dave

Here's to a handicap-reducing year again. It's amazing what those dowels can do.

Makin' It Happen On the PGA TOUR
Speaking of productive dowel work...

I will be posting soon some exciting Before & After video of Brian Gay's PGA TOUR-tested Golf Stroke. Brian's got a bag full of dowels and just fired a closing 67 in this past week's BellSouth Classic at the TPC Sugarloaf in Atlanta. His 8-under par 280 total earned him a tie for 19th in a 144-man field and $67,000, his best finish of the year.

Brian, his caddy Eddie Grace and I spent all day Wednesday of tournament week on the back of the practice range. We had last worked in February at his home club in Orlando just prior to another fine finish at the Nissan. In Atlanta, the video camera provided ready evidence of the perfect alignments he had been working so hard to achieve in the weeks since. Brian had prepared himself for a wonderful performance, and he got it.

I do love teaching fish to swim!
