pivot
ted what role does the pivot play in transporting the power package to the top?.. reason i ask is that when i use a normal pivot after start up my hands trun to plane without any manipulation on my part no pivot and i feel that i have to turn my hands to plane am i on the right track

Hitters use the Pivot as a "launching pad"....Resisting Forces....what does a launching pad serve as with a rocket launch? resistance to a thrusting force?

launching pad
i understand that part..i'm trying to minimize compensations i remember reading that a turning torso will turn the arms and hands to plane..assuming your start up conditions are correct

Sounds like a "zero pivot" or "static" pivot (shoulder) action, which provides the reactive/bouncing force to the power accumulators (active arms, wrists and hands).

I also actively turning/rotating my "launching pad" (dynamic pivot action), which serves as the "gear train" pulling the power accumulators in "swinging", for "hitting". In other words, my "launching pad" provides not only the reactive force, but also momentum to the power accumulators in bending/stiffening/stressing the shaft (or sustaining the clubhead lag) during "hitting".

YOU load and sustain the "LAG", during which the "LAW" releases it, ideally beyond impact.
"Sustain (Yang/陽) the lag (Yin/陰)" is "the unification of Ying and Yang" (陰陽合一).
The "LAW" creates the "effect", which is the "motion" or "feel", with the "cause", which is the "intent" or "command".
"Lag" is the secret of golf, passion is the secret of life.
Think as a golfer, execute like a robot.
Rotate, twist, spin, turn.
Bend the shaft.

Are you having your right forearm on plane at address? And what sort of grip you are using?
In Hitting, we still have to make use of our Pivot event though doesn't seem to be. IMO, Hand action is important in Hitting, where Swinging concentrate more on Wrist Action. Once the hand are trained, would be a job to learn the Shoulder Throw, in order to get rid of the hook.
One more question, have you got your hip turn during the Takeaway?
