Ultimately you can get to the point where the only thing in your mind is the visual of the ball's flight (or roll).
Nothing else is needed.
It obviously takes some work to get to that point, but especially for the better players, the more you can 'see' what you want, the easier the game becomes.
If you need to visualize part of your motion, make it the hands. Always know where your hands are!

Yes I totally agree. This was yip therapy however. When I chip well , or pitch , or putt well its just a picture of the target in my mind. Like pitching pennies or throwing darts or something. Knowing my exact distance or watching my arms or hands travel , the clock method or whatever can get in my way when Im on. Its just a picture and go. The brain knows how much lag pressure to apply. No need to interfere. It can be crazy accurate and very uncluttered.
